'What a Pretty Little Boy'

Pretty?  Yes.  Little boy?  You might need to check again random lady from the Children's Centre.  My baby may be dressed in slightly gender non-specific clothing but at least I have her under control (for now) which is more than can be said for you and your child.  Overall, I think I win.

It's not even that gender non-specific really, it came from the girl's deapartment at Mothercare, the trousers are LEGGINGS and they're a girly blubell blue not a manly rugged blue. But don't worry, next time we'll go for something in inspid pink to avoid blowing your tiny little mind.

Anyway, I told you they'd be more dachshunds in all our futures didn't I?

Looks like I was right.

I win again!

London Calling

Flora may be Devon girl, but that doesn't mean she doesn't occasionally crave the hussle and bussle of city life (although she can't smile about it because she has sore gums from teething).

Actually that may not be entirely true and I'm not quite ready to tackle Oxford Street with her in tow quite yet. There is talk of taking her to see the Christmas lights this year, but talk is cheap and train tickets to London are not, so she may have to make do with Exeter (or Bristol if we're feeling crazy).

This outfit is cool though and the top has a dachshund on it which as you will come to see, means it's sold as far as we're concenred.  Either Mothercare have heard about this and are aiming at a very specific market (just us), or dachshunds are just cool.

I'll leave you to make up your mind which it is (this will be easier for those of you who have met Elvie).

I Like Leaves

Alternatively titled: Look at my tongue.

Nice, isn't it?

As are her hedgehog top and apple-y tights all of which came from Next and are part of her new 6-9 month sized autumn wardrobe.  You can't see how nice her top is when she's wearing it though, particularly when she pulls her skirt up in this unbecoming manner and consequently, the title of this post makes no sense.

Let me rememdy this.

You see?  Now it all makes sense.  Did I mention rain is wet?

Blame it on the Weatherman

You see the problem is it's been quite cold and wet here over this last week which means she's been in the handful of warm outfits we had in size 3-6 months most of which we've shared before.  Here's one we haven't though even though it's a good'un.

I love baby clothes from Boots and there always seem to be really nice things in their sale, probably because Boots is not the first place you think of to buy clothes.  You can't argue with £4.50 (plus 10 advantage points to the pound = 10% off) from the sale rack, particularly when an outfit is this cool.  I particularly love the ruffles on the sleeves.

Since the Fuzzy Duck turned 6 months on Wednesday (if you count it in weeks) or today (if you go by calendar months) we decided it was time to break into the trunk of more autumm-appropriate 6-9 month clothes.  Like these ones:

These are all non-sale brand new season purchses from Next but luckily we had vouchers so £14 on a faux fur gillet with rabbit ears was not quite a frivelous as it could have been.

Look how cute it is though, who could resist it?

Not me anyway.

We then moved on the one of my favourite dress and trouser combinations for Sing it! Say it! and Busy Babies yesterday.  This outfit came from Debenhams in Clapham Junction a few weeks before they went and looted it (and probably stole the rest of them) and was a lovely gift from Daddy (in that I used his credit card to pay for it).

That's an applique orange bird under her hand in case you were interested.

The only draw back with it was it made a couple of people narrow minded idiots think she was a boy.   Maybe back to the (insipid baby pink) drawing board?
